Easy Magic Tricks Dealing a Royal FlushHere's a great magic trick and the best, easy way to deal yourself a royal flush in a seeming demonstration of poker. It requires more talking and misdirection than card handling skills, but you'll look like a gambler and poker player when you learn this one. And the free and easy magic trick is great for beginners and kids. It's all in the cards.

Materials: A deck of cards.

Secret: It’s all in the preparation and how you collect and deal the cards.

Preparation: Obtain the necessary cards to form a royal flush in any suit of your choice. Place the five cards on top of the deck face down.

Note that for demonstration purposes, this picture shows the deck face-up so you can see the placement of the royal flush in the deck. During the trick, the deck is turned face-down when the cards are dealt, just as in a real poker game.

Deal five hands of five cards each. As you deal, talk about how you might play an innocent game of poker. After dealing the five hands, turnover and show a couple of the hands and briefly talk about them - pair, possible straight, etc....

Be careful not to change the order of the cards. At this point, each hand has one card that makes up your royal flush at the bottom. The next step will show you the state of the cards on the table.

Turnover all of the hands so that they’re face down and collect the hands and place them on top of the deck.

Mention that a card cheat might try to change the outcome of a game. At this point, your royal flush is distributed among the top 25 cards of the deck - each flush card is located at the fifth, tenth, fifteenth, twentieth and twenty-fifth positions.

Once again, deal five hands of five cards each. Show each hand and briefly discuss the possibilities. Turnover your cards and show your hand to be a royal flush.
